The first week after she was born we were very fortunate to have Rod at home. He did a great job taking care of all of us. Despite the lack of sleep, he did the school run every day, kept "I" and N happy and away from the house as much as possible, and did the cleaning as needed.
The second week my mom came and spoiled us with her presence. She took care of the house and the kids, and basically did my spring cleaning for me, as I sat in the comfy chair resting and watching.
This past week we were spoiled again by Rod's parents as they took "I" and N away to their house for the week. This meant that after G went to school, I had until I pick him up to do *nothing.*
We have enjoyed each week for what it is and what it brings. We are adjusting (slowly) to life with a newborn; we have enjoyed showing her to family and friends, and have enjoyed the gifts and hospitalities of so many people around us.

Smooshy Face

"I" was happy to see the baby on the first day, but then walked away and didn't pay her much mind. And then one day....he discovered her, and fell in love. It was one of life's sweet moments.
