What [sound] does a crumb make?
How did God make time?
Who are we that You should notice us; mere mortals that You should care for us? For we are like a breath of air; our days are like a passing shadow. (Ps 144) ...Here are just a few captured moments from our lives...

Six
Today is November the sixth.
My mom turns sixty-six.
As of October 26, S turned six months old.
I don't think I've written anything about her since she was born, so tonight, it's her turn.
The summer, quite honestly, was a bit of a whirl-wind. With having four (busy) kids at home, potty-training, starting more renovations, Rod working for twelve hours every day, and adjusting to a newborn, I'm not sure if I remember anything else about it. S wasn't an easy baby to begin with. For the first few weeks (months?) she was quite gassy with a lot of spit-up; it was nothing to be concerned about, but it was enough to make life a little bit difficult. Her eating was mediocre at best, and often left me wondering how much she was getting and whether it was enough. Then came about six or eight weeks of her waking up - screaming - every two hours, night and day. Quite honestly, it about did me in.
And then...
I'm not sure why, or when, or what changed, but it all just started to fall into place. She sleeps better, eats better, and interacts better. She is a lovely, sweet, patient, happy, beautiful little girl who loves her family and is adored by each of her siblings (and, let's be honest, her parents, too). She daily reminds me of the miracles that God allows us to enjoy and be a part of.
So...in keeping with the theme of the evening, here are six pictures to share with you from the past few weeks.

"I" loves her....sometimes to pieces.

N can't get enough of her.

G and S seem to have a special bond. I think that she feels safe with him.

And then, there's Daddy. What is not to love?

She also discovered her toes and her first two fingers. (We haven't used the soother since.) How do babies fold so well?
