As evidenced by the lack of recent entries, you may have noticed our lives are less than noteworthy at this point. It is indeed a period of waiting, seeking, and wondering what our next steps should be.
There are, however, some areas of interest (in no particular order)...
1) I got a new job! I haven't started it yet, but I have been "welcomed aboard" (in the words of the manager) to a mortgage company, the largest in Canada. It's part-time receptionist-type work. It should be grand!
2) Less than a week until the due-date of my new niece/nephew, affectionately known as Lucky.
3) All of my Christmas shopping is done! (It really helps when you only have one person to buy for.)
4) We are going to BC for Christmas! We fly out the night of the 24th, and arrive just before midnight. (I hope Santa can find us!) The plan is to spend a few days there with my whole family, probably the last time before the nomadic Jonathan and Janice and family leave for Africa for x amount of years. After Christmas, while my parents, Janice, nephew, and New Arrival fly home, my brothers and Rod and I plan to drive back.
Winter + mountain crossings + prairie crossings + trailer full of stuff + husband + brothers + cramped car = Good times to be had! Bring it on!

Hi Bec! Long time no talk/see...
We got the "Barnhoorn Banter" newsletter a while back, and just checked the site...found out you have a site as well!
Glad to read things are going well for you!
Anyway, just wanted to extend an invite to you and the boys to stop in (in Calgary) on your way back to Ontario! I'm sure Mike would love to see the brothers and we can offer a warm bed or two!
Anyway, take care, have a wonderful holiday and all the best!

Sounds like blessings all around! Praise God! :) Call me sometime! Love you!
Hey guys! You should stop at my place on the way back (free loding/food etc.) I am about 5 hours from Vancouver. let me know.
I was just about to offer that you guys should stop in as well... and it looks like you have lots of invites. In any case, we would love to have you stay over, or just meet for coffee if you have time. We're about 6 1/2 hours east of Calgary. If not, then we'll see you in January!
