Recently Bec and I flew to British Columbia and helped her brother move his household back to Ontario. We drove his 13 year old Mercury Grand Marquis loaded to the gills with four people and loads of stuff pulling a trailer (also fully loaded) back to Ontario. The numbers haven't fully come in, but I think our average was about 12mpg and it took us about four days to cross the country (at an average speed of 90 km/hr). We were very blessed to have clear roads and good weather throughout the whole of our trip, and to have made it between gas stations without running out (although a couple of times it was pretty close). This was what I deemed our "trip photo". It kinda looks like a car advertisement, but maybe that is what I like about it.
