Gotta love it

It has been busy in the teaching realm. In the last week I have been a grade 4/5 teacher, a JK/SK teacher, and a French immersion teacher. I thought that was impressively flexible of me, until yesterday, when I trumped that in one day with teaching grade 3/4, grade 4/5, JK/SK, and grade 5.

Here are some conversations/quotations that took place yesterday.
"Supply teachers are the pollen bees of the germ world."

Me, to a mildly defiant JK student: "Write your name on your sheet." (Repeat x5)
Student: "I did. It's invisible."

I was feeling rather teacher-ish with a heavy-laden backpack slung over one shoulder and a clipboard and lesson plans in the other hand...
Grade 6ish student to me: "Are you Ms. Other-teacher's daughter?"
Me: "...." (deflated)
