Poll

I don't know how to add one of those fancy-shmancy polls to the blog, but we are having some marital disagreements, and I thought that the wide open www would be a good place to air them out.
The issue at hand is this:
Is it time for our boy to have his first hair cut?

Please add your comments/two cents/opinion on the matter to the comment section.
It may or may not be taken into consideration.

How about - if and when he gets mistaken for a little girl - then the curly locks must go! (Does that help??)

I think it's time to cut it.... I think little boys look very cute with short hair, but that's a personal preference. I had no idea Gideon's hair is so red!

The general feeling among the "ouwe tantes" (old aunts) at the Snoek Boxing Day yesterday was that the first haircut changes them from the baby to a little boy. As long as he doesn't mind the occasional tugging of the comb through his curls, and as long as he doesn't understand the occasional comment from well-meaning bystanders and relatives - well, in our opinion(s), he has a few years ahead of being a little boy, but only a little time left to be a baby.
Don't rush it. The first haircut is most difficult for the mom, quite truthfully! One day, you'll be ready for it.

Okay, my turn to make a comment, it is Alicia T. I won't say "yes" or "no" i will say "maybe". Mike and I had a little disagreement on when to cut Ben's...I wanted to wait for a little curl that i could keep, then Mike knocked some sense into me and said that with both of us having dead straight hair, and Ben's not showing any signsof curling, that i shouldn't wait any longer. I cut his semi-mullet and his "wings" above his ears. Now for my point, only cut his hair if you are ready for the results...i apparently am not much of a hairdresser, the one side looked good...the other was very obviously bad (oops). So if it is Rod wanting you to cut it Rebecca, offer to cut his hair first as practice! maybe he might change his mind...after all you want to make sure Gid's first cut is a good one and not a botch job!
