Why My Blender Collects Dust

I decided that it was time to make some baby food for "I." Nothing to it - just over-boil some sweet potatoes and put them in the blender. So, since I had to peel some potatoes anyway, I thought that now would be the chance. Things were moving along tickety-boo. Peeled, cooked to perfection, blendered (that's a new word I made up), and even spooned into a little bowl so "I" could eat it warm.
I decided to let the rest of it cool in the blender while I finished off the rest of supper.
And then.
For some reason, out of nowhere (it seems) N's little finger pushed a button on the blender. The metal spoon was still in it, although not for long. A loud "clunk" as metal hit metal. A loud "Whirrr" as the blender did what blenders do. A thud as the spoon flew up and then hit the floor. And then the screaming of a terrified little girl who wasn't sure what just happened. And then the wails of G, who wasn't sure what all the fuss was about but figured it was important.
And then the mess to clean up.

And supper to finish.
75 cents is sometimes not too much to pay for a bit of already prepared food.

Hey, I have an idea... I'll take your G for awhile, and you can have my K for awhile... No, that would be mean! Your N and my K sound very much alike. I'm glad someone else is getting this... unique experience!
