It has been a long time in coming. "I" has been mobile for quite some time - probably a month or more. His method of choice was to use his arms to get wherever he wants to go - and in a hurry. I will say it was mildly embarrassing and alarming to see all the dirt that *was* on my floor end up all over his front. Probably I should have attached a Swiffer to his stomach and got a clean floor out of it. Regardless, a week or two ago he took a few "on the knee" steps, but after one or two decided that the tummy/arm combo were easier. But this week, he decided that on the hands and knees was, indeed, the better way to travel. He loves it. What fun to watch!
