My parents + the four siblings (plus spouses) + 8 children (one newborn) + dog + jetlag + 3 bedrooms + a week of rain in the forecast = ??
I mean really, what could *possibly* go wrong? (insert sarcastic voice)
I am happy to say that my concerns were for nothing. It was a fan.tas.tic. week! My parents very kindly rented a cottage and had all of us as their guests for a week of holiday. It was the first time in almost four years that we have been together. I think I may have forgotten how great my family is. What a gift!
While it was rainy the first few days, the weather perked up and gave us a few days of sun. It was a week full of relaxing, reading, eating, canoeing, boating, fishing on the dock, and catching up - and meeting for the first time.
