Stanley Park and spring at its finest.
The boys together again.
Our road trip was uneventful, which can only be a good thing. We started out bright and early Monday morning (we were on the road by 6:30) and drove until 1 in the morning, when we reached Edmonton. Wildlife count the first day included: bear, elk, deer, wild goat, and wolf. We had one “preventative maintenance breakdown” in the coastal mountains, but a little bit of handy-man elbow grease (aka Rod and Andy) made it all okay again. We totally surprised my brother in Edmonton (too bad we also woke him up! – but it was well worth it) and were able to spend most of the next day with him and his wife. On Tuesday, we left Edmonton at around 3 in the afternoon, and just kept on driving….non-stop….until we reached Hamilton at about 8:00 on Thursday morning.
Our drive through the Rockies was beautiful, as always.
Hip-hip hooray for Alberta!
The prairies offered their own beauty.
…As did Northern Ontario.
