Wow…it’s been way too long since we last updated. Things here are going well, and it seems as if lots has happened, and yet very little actual happenings. My placement ended, and with that came March break, which was filled with wonderful things like sleeping in, reading good books, relaxing, going for walks, and trying to get a head start on some assignments. But mostly the first 3.
I’ve started my alternative practicum, which is a practicum beyond the classroom. I have been helping in planning for a curriculum linked summer camp put on by Queen’s. So far it, too, has been relaxing, enjoyable, and I am still learning lots of things – what more could I want? My alt prac lasts for another 2 weeks, followed by 3 weeks of classes…and then that’s it. I’ll be a “real teacher.” Yay!
