Alive

I do apologize for the hiatus.
Nope....I'm not going to give an explanation, just an apology. Boy, life is rough sometimes :)

I have been reading and reflecting on these words over the past while. I have taken the liberty to change some verb tenses and add some italics; it makes it come more alive for me.

I wait patiently for the Lord to help me,
and He turns to me and hears my cry.
He lifts me out of the pit of despair,
out of the mud and mire.
He sets my feet on solid ground
and steadies me as I walk along.
He will give me a new song to sing
a hymn of praise to our God.

May all those who search for You
be filled with joy and gladness in You.
As for me, since I am poor and needy,
let the Lord keep me in His thoughts.
