"Did you get a hair cut?" Rod asked me.
"No," I answered, self-consciously touching my hair.
"It looked boyish today," he commented.
I wasn't sure how to respond, so I said nothing. I was hurt and slightly confused, thinking that I thought I had been having a decent hair day, but I've been known to be wrong before.
"You always look boyish, but especially boyish today," he finished off.
I still said nothing, wondering how I could have been in this long of a relationship with him and still not have any idea of what he really thought of me.
Maybe it was my sad eyes, or my confused look, or my lack of response....
He clarified: "I said 'Did JUDE get a hair cut?' not 'Did YOU get a hair cut.'"
