A Few Christmas Highlights

I was planning on having a lovely post about all the wonderful events and people that our Christmas holidays held. Sadly, once again, we left our camera at home for the majority of them. This post will be a fraction of the size that it otherwise could have been.
Regardless, here are a few pictures that we did manage to take:
The week before Christmas, G was in his very first Christmas program at church. He had to memorize two songs (we are still singing them on a daily basis) and had a line that he had to say. He did very well. I may or may not have been sitting on the edge of my seat the entire performance, waving to him.

Immediately following, we went to Rod's family to celebrate with them. Once again, it was a most blessed time of family, celebration, and of being spoiled. We took our annual family photo, with a few additions this year from last, including an import (nice to meet you, T.) and a brand new nephew. It also means it is getting harder to get a good picture of everybody. We'll take what we can get.

For the first time ever, we had Christmas day to ourselves. It was a nice treat, but we didn't take advantage of it to its fullest. We have been trying to decide how we would like to shape our own family celebrations. Quite honestly, the mixture of procrastination and laziness and indecisiveness were our own worst enemies. It was still a wonderful day, and very nice to have some time with ourselves.
We went to my parents for almost a week, where we enjoyed some quiet time (I finished a book and a puzzle) as well as some visiting with some most wonderful family and some dear friends.
