One of my dearest friend’s seventeen year old sister is in the hospital. Several days ago we got urgent email messages from some of our friends, saying that Miriam had been in a serious car accident and suffered severe head injuries; a miracle was needed to keep her alive.
Praise the Lord she is not only alive but making daily improvements! Despite up and downs, worries and concerns, the doctors now say Miriam’s recovery thus far is “remarkable”!!
We have been checking Miriam’s blog daily (at least) to see how she is doing. The amount (and the quality) of comments on the site is astounding! People from all over the world – New Zealand, Cyprus, Japan, Netherlands, Israel – are praying for her healing. It is a powerful reminder that this is true Christian community! This is what “church” is about…to gather round, to uphold those in need, so that by doing so we may draw others in! It is one of the blessings of church, one that we acutely miss right now, but cannot wait to join again.
Pray for Miriam!

Dude, I totally understand your longing to be back in a church again. I went to a service in Kobe (that had English) today and had to use all my strength not to cry because of how much I missed church.
