*So* last year

(...both the fact that we blog and the pictures themselves...)
I admit that I am a little late in posting these, but I wanted to share a few favourite moments of our recent Christmas holidays (in no particular order). It was a time of much family and friends and of realizing again how very blessed we are.

We spent the better part of an afternoon building "politically aware" snowmen and women. They were complete with carrot noses, potato eyes, scarves, twig hair, and later placards that read "Save Frosty," "Food, not bombs," and "Hug a tree." Please note the tree hugging snowman in the background.

How can you not love a face like this?

We don't have too many family Christmas traditions, but this is one that we have started in the last few years: taking a picture of all the kids who are home in front of the Christmas tree. Sadly lacking are Jonathan and Janice and the three boys. Please note my brother's fantastically tacky Christmas sweater, worn with pride.

well, what a pleasure it is to see these pictures...it's almost a shame you don't do facebook and then you could see mine...someday if you're ever down this way you need to come and see the new house.
